Installation Precautions For Insulation Piercing Connectors
insulation piercing clamp Before installation, the surface of the insulated clamp should be cleaned of dirt and grime. Clamps with uneven or broken insulation layers should not be used.
The clamp model should be checked to ensure it is suitable for the conductor. The main and branch lines should be clearly distinguished, and clamps with damaged insulation on the outer casing should not be used.
The ends of the connecting wires should face the power source and be fitted with end insulation covers. Care should be taken to prevent damage to the rectangular blades during the connection or insertion of the connecting wires, and to ensure that the connecting wires are fully inserted.
When tightening the nuts, both bolts should be tightened simultaneously first, then tightened further with a wrench. Maintain simultaneous tightening of both bolts as much as possible until the torque nut breaks off. Do not overtighten the compression nut. The clamp should be installed horizontally (with the nut on top).
ipc cable connector must not be used for connecting bare conductors. Bare conductors and insulated wires must not be connected using ipc insulation piercing connector or piercing cable connector. They must not be contaminated by mud or other pollutants, and must not be struck or subjected to pressure.
