The Insulating Role Of Pre-insulated Bushings In Electrical Equipment
In electrical equipment, pre insulated sleeve is the insulation distance between the protective conductor and the external grounding part. When the conductor carries current, the insulation layer separates the conductor portions with and without potential, preventing accidental contact. The insulating material on the pre insulated junction sleeve surface is uniformly distributed along the circumference of the conductor, forming a stable electric field distribution region.
The insulation voltage level that insulated joint sleeve needs to withstand varies under different operating conditions. In low-voltage systems, the insulating bushing typically uses a single-layer design; medium- and high-voltage equipment may be equipped with multi-layer insulation structures or special electric field uniform distribution devices.
