The drop fuse fuse consists of an insulating tube, metal contacts, and a tubular assembly carrying the fuse. When a sudden current change causes the fuse to melt, the device falls from its mounting bracket under gravity, providing a clear break and simultaneously disconnecting the power without requiring additional auxiliary equipment.
