The connector parallel groove is indeed a type of electrical connector. In power engineering, electrical connectors are metal devices used to connect and fasten conductors. They not only have conductive functions but also bear and fix the conductors.  The groove clamp, as a type of electrical connector, is mainly used for connecting steel strands of overhead lightning protection wires, medium and small cross-section aluminum strands, or steel-cored aluminum strands at non-tension bearing positions. It is also commonly used in jumper connections of non-linear transmission towers.

The design of the parallel groove fully considers the connection requirements of the conductors. For example, the parallel groove clamp connector, manufactured from aluminum alloy with a plate-to-plate structure, connects and fixes the conductors through the tightening pressure of bolts in upper and lower grooved clamping plates. This pressure is then transmitted through spring washers and flat washers, providing a relatively uniform and constant pressure to the conductors. This design ensures the stability and reliability of the connection.

Furthermore, the pg clamp connector has the characteristic of being detachable after installation, facilitating maintenance and replacement when needed.  To ensure uniform and sufficient pressure on the conductors, a two-bolt or three-bolt structure pg clamps is generally used, requiring even force when tightening each bolt during installation.

In summary, the single bolt parallel groove connector, as a type of electrical connector, plays an important role in power engineering. Its design is reasonable, its functions are complete, and it can meet the needs of various conductor connections.
