The Clamping Principle Of Bolt-type Tension Clamps
In the overhead line accessory system, bolted type strain clamp is used to firmly fix the conductor to the tension rod or insulator assembly, and its core structural design lies in the mechanical clamping mechanism. Component dead end strain clamp mainly consists of a high-strength aluminum alloy body and a U-bolt assembly. The conductor is placed in a pre-fabricated groove in the body, and positive pressure is applied to the conductor within the groove by a combination of bolts, nuts, and washers. As the bolts tighten, vertical force is transmitted between the upper and lower clamps, and the conductor is stably clamped through the frictional characteristics between the groove and the pressure plate. The bolted dead end clamp is compatible with aluminum stranded wire, steel-cored aluminum stranded wire, and can also be matched with different diameter overhead conductor types.
