Sf6 Circuit Breaker Opening Speed Control Method Based On Contact Travel Characteristics

The arcing time of sf6 circuit breaker operating mechanism is short when the circuit is broken, and the maximum arcing time of sf6 circuit breaker spring mechanism does not exceed 1.5 half-waves of the power frequency. It is required that the arc extinguishing chamber has sufficient insulation strength when the current passes through zero for the first time. It is usually hoped that the contact stroke reaches 50%~80% of the full stroke within the power frequency half-wave when the circuit is broken. Therefore, the opening speed of the switch needs to be strictly controlled.
