Screw Tightening Torque Is An Important Requirement For Cable Terminals.

During electrical connection installation, the tightening torque of the screws at the connection terminals determines the reliability of the contact. For cable lugs screws, manufacturers usually specify the torque value in the instruction manual. Tightening to the specified torque ensures stable contact between the wire and the wire lugs screw, reducing the risk of poor contact.

Different devices have different torque requirements for electrical lugs screws. For example, some power terminals require 0.5–0.6 Nm, while others require up to 31 Nm. Incorrect torque may lead to loose connections, abnormal temperature rise, or poor contact.

When properly tightening terminal lugs screws, use compliant tools, such as a torque wrench, to accurately control the applied force.
