Material Selection Criteria For Suspension Clamp Sealing Layer
In overhead transmission lines, the cable suspension clamp protection layer is responsible for suspending the conductors, and its internal sealing layer design is directly related to the protective performance of the connection between the conductor and the hardware. The presence of this special material enables the aerial cable suspension clamps to resist the erosion of the connection points by various natural factors during long-term operation in outdoor environments.
The sealing layer of angle suspension clamp is mostly made of silicone rubber or EPDM rubber. These polymer materials have good elasticity and weather resistance. The thickness of the sealing layer is determined based on the wire diameter and harga suspension clamp specification, and is typically in the range of 3-8 mm. Antioxidants and UV absorbers are added to the material formulation to maintain stable physical properties within a temperature range of -40℃ to +80℃, preventing cracking or hardening due to temperature cycling.
