Current status of Lv Pole Mounted Circuit Breakers

With the development in recent years, the number of SF6 users has been declining. People are constantly developing VCB equipment in the high-voltage field, and technicians are constantly making progress in manufacturing technology and design tools. The rated voltage of a single arc extinguishing unit has reached 145kV. Therefore, the step of connecting the vacuum arc extinguishing unit in series does not need to be completed, and the rated withstand voltage mechanism can be simplified. V has enhanced the market competitiveness of VCB equipment. In Japan, hundreds of VVBs with rated voltages of 72.5kV and 145kV are in operation. In recent years, researchers have developed shell grounding and shell ungrounded VI targets for high-voltage fields. Today, technicians consider using VCB in gas-insulated switchgear. There are two main reasons for insulation accidents in high-voltage vacuum circuit breakers: on the one hand, the insulator design of the high-voltage circuit breaker does not meet the specifications; on the other hand, the high-voltage circuit breaker does not meet the installation specifications. Therefore, staff must pay attention to the installation process of high-voltage circuit breakers, detect high-voltage circuit breakers, etc., to prevent insulation accidents and ensure the normal operation of high-voltage vacuum circuit breakers. At an exhibition a few years ago, a European country displayed a commercial 72.5kV vacuum circuit breaker. The research and development of VCB in the high-voltage field in my country is in progress.

Nowadays, many researchers are focusing on the research and development of switches for high-voltage fields.

Technical prospects of high-voltage vacuum circuit breakers

SF6 gas is of great significance to the use of high-voltage circuit breakers. SF6 gas has many characteristics, such as excellent thermal performance, high negative charge, high dielectric strength, etc. It can withstand arc extinction and voltage operation, but it will cause environmental pollution. High-voltage vacuum equipment will not damage the environment, so vacuum switchgear is widely used in the high-voltage field. In daily life, VCB has been used in some power grids at the 72.5kV level. I believe that in a few years,

72.5kV and 145kV level VCB will also appear one after another.
