400A J Type Fuse Link IEC60269

SMICO Type J fuse link are for use in a.c electricity supply networks. They are installed in distribution boards, feeder pillars, link boxes, pole mounted cutout fuse and heavy duty service intakes.

The range includes all the current ratings specified in BS88-2 and BS 7656 for fuse link with the standard 82mm and 92mm fixing centres, togehter with additional non-standardised fuse link with 76mm fixing centres and female contact fuse links.

In addition, a range of cylindrical fuse links up to 315A, with the same characteristics as the tagged pattern, is available for installation in pole mounted cutout.

Notes:

1. JPU450, 500, 560, 630A are restricted to intermittent loading when installed in 400A fixed contacts
2. JSU800A is restricted to intermittent loading when installed in 630A fixed contacts
3. IEC60269 and BS88-2 specify performance requirements up to 630A fixed contacts, therefore the performance of JSU800A fuse-links complies with the Breaking Range and Utilisation Category “gG”

Meet all applicable standards ANSI/NEMA

Type K and Type T fuse links are made in complete accordance with standards ANSI/NEMA. Other links meet all the standards  except those covering  time-current characteristics. Time-current characteristics for links other than K and T links are not coveredin the ANSI standards.

Fuse links assure system protection because they are precision manufactured. The fusible materials used in  Fuse Links are under continual control uring manufacture. Pre-tested to guarantee their electrical values, these materials are held to precise tolerances. At critical points during the  manufacturing process, rigid inspections are made.

Packaging

Fuse links come in protective plastic bags with perforations to facilitate quick, easy opening even when lineman’s gloves are worn.  Each bag remains completely sealed for all-weather protection and keeps the links protected in the line truck’s bins.Type and amperage is printed on each bag, for easy identification

The fast characteristics of Type K fuse links were established by ANSI/NEMA to provide fuse links that would meet existing coordination schemes. Type fuse links are designed to carry 150% of their rated current without damage to the fuse link itself or the cutout in which it is installed. This capacityis for special loading situations, such as shorttime over loads and cold load pick-up.
