Description：

SMICO's FTY  armor rods are of the factory pre-formed type and are made of a material compatible to conductor, ground wire and installed in the suspension clamps. Rods are shaped in such a way that they will grip the conductor and ground wire tightly.armor rods are of aluminum alloy for use on the phase conductors, and of aluminum clad steel for use on the overhead ground wires.

2: Application and structure 

1) Preformed tension set is used in the installation of the exposed conductor used in main and tap distribution line and overhead insulated conductor. It can substitute for the tension clamps including bolt type widely used in present line;
2) The set is simple in structure, two legs of the preformed armor rod intertwist a blank pipe, with a twisted ring as its
backside. The blank pipe would produce a great holding strength when it enlace the conductor, and the ring could be used on the insulator.

3. Material

The tension set is made of galvanized steel wire and aluminum sheathed steel wire.

1) High strength; An additional length is provided to ensure tension strength could be up to 100% R.B.S;
2) High erosion resistance: The material is identical to conductor;
3) Simple installation, the tension set could be installed manually at the work site by one person without any special tool;
