Why Can't Pre-insulated Sleeves Be Simply Considered As Ip67/ip68 Seals?

pre insulated sleeve is primarily used for insulation and basic protection of electrical connection components. Its design focuses on insulation coverage and mechanical fixation of lifting line ends, and it is not an evaluation system similar to the IP rating system that is strictly tested according to IEC/EN standards. The material, resistance, and thickness of pre insulated junction sleeve affect its behavior in humid environments and are not equivalent to the protection level certification obtained through standardized testing.

The insulation structure of insulated joint sleeve alone cannot represent the ability to seal for a long time underwater or in high humidity environments. IP ratings 67 and 68 encompass the overall design of the sealing system, including multiple dimensions such as enclosure seams, interface structure, and material durability.
