Why Can Only Parallel Trench Clamps Be Used In Distribution Network Construction?
In distribution network construction, when insulated wires need to be connected to bare conductors, only parallel groove connector is suitable. If insulation piercing clamps are used, the piercing will damage the bare conductors, destroying the original mechanical properties of the conductors. In severe cases, it may cause serious consequences such as wire breakage. Insulation piercing clamps are also prone to water ingress and moisture, which may cause the clamps to burn out. Therefore, when insulated wires need to be connected to bare conductors, only aluminium pg clamp is suitable. Because bimetal pg clamp clamps are suitable for bare conductors, the insulation must be stripped when using blackburn parallel groove clamp, which not only affects construction progress but also increases labor intensity. Stripping the insulation is particularly difficult in winter.
