Waterproof And Thermal Insulation Compliance Statement For Puncture Clamps
The waterproof and thermal insulation performance of piercing cable connector should meet the relevant test requirements of Part 2 of GB/T13140-1998, which clarifies that piercing electrical connectors requires type and verification testing according to standard items.
In terms of test implementation, piercing wire connector is assembled to the specified torque and tested in pairs with the matching wires; after immersion, thermal cycling, and thermal shock, the dielectric strength, insulation resistance, and leakage current are judged according to standard limits, and there should be no leakage at the sealed parts. The sealing grease, elastic seals, and shell materials must undergo UV, salt spray, SO₂ corrosion cycling, and environmental aging tests, ensuring stable seal rebound and interface adhesion. The contact parts are then verified through temperature rise and contact resistance tests.
