Voltage Compensation Algorithm Mechanism Of Smart Meters
In the single phase smart energy meter system, processing the input voltage signal is one of the core technical aspects. In real-world deployment environments, grid voltage fluctuations are common, placing more stringent demands on measurement accuracy.
The voltage compensation algorithm, based on real-time waveform analysis of the sampled voltage, numerically adjusts the voltage offset and distortion components to generate a stable reference voltage value for subsequent calculations. This algorithm typically combines high-speed ADC output and filtering modules, enabling the extraction of meaningful voltage information from a wide dynamic range, reflecting the actual grid conditions.
Inside the smart wifi energy meter, the microprocessor compares the sampled voltage signal with the built-in model, adjusts the scale and benchmark of the input data, and makes the final voltage reading more consistent with historical trends and preset standards. This algorithm is implemented at the firmware level, working in conjunction with the energy metering chip and digital signal processing logic.
