Vertical Fuse Disconnector Status Feedback Mechanism
Compared to simple mechanical grounding switches, some Vertical Fuse Switch Disconnector switches integrate auxiliary contacts or position indicators in their design. These devices are mounted on the front of the housing and reflect the open/closed position of the internal main contacts via a position indicator window or reed switch. This means that when the disconnecting switch is in a certain state, the relevant signal channel can generate a corresponding state change output. This type of feedback is not a simple current loop sampling, but a switching signal output based on mechanical position feedback.
This feedback typically appears in the form of auxiliary normally open/normally closed contacts and can be connected to a higher-level monitoring system, PLC controller, or DCS system to display equipment status and determine whether the circuit is de-energized or connected. Although the disconnecting switch itself does not have complex electronic measurement units, and its position feedback relies more on contact logic switching, it is sufficient for remote signal reading within the control cabinet, facilitating on-site detection or remote monitoring of equipment operation.
