Using Terminal Sleeves To Improve The Contact Performance Of Bimetallic Terminals
Terminal sleeves, as an auxiliary insulation protection structure, form an adapter/protective layer between bimetallic lugs and the cable. After inserting the wire, crimping, or securing bi metal cable lug, the sleeve is applied to the outside of bi metal lugs connectors. This method allows bi metallic cable lugs to maintain its original structure and wiring method, with only an external protection layer added. In scenarios involving vibration, ambient humidity, or frequent operation, the sleeve can provide additional shielding and fixation for the metal parts of bimetal cable lug, reducing the risk of poor contact due to loosening or external interference. Referring to existing industry descriptions of various terminal blocks—correct insertion, crimping, and application of insulation protection are crucial steps in reducing contact problems.
