Under What Circumstances Should The Tension Clamp Be Used In Power Fittings?
Hardware Powerfitting is used to fix the conductor or lightning conductor to the non-linear tower tension insulator string, acting as an anchor, and also used to fix the guy wire of the guy tower.
Tension clamps are used for cornering, splicing, and terminal connection. The spiral aluminum-clad steel wire has extremely strong tensile strength and no concentrated stress, which protects the optical cable and assists in vibration reduction. The complete set of optical cable tension fittings includes: tension pre-twisted wire and matching connection fittings. The clamp grip is not less than 95% of the rated tensile strength of the optical cable. It is easy and quick to install, reducing the construction cost. It is suitable for ADSS optical cable lines with a span of ≤100 meters and a line angle of <25°.
Tension clamps can be roughly divided into two categories according to their structure and installation conditions. The first category: The tension clamp must withstand the full tension of the conductor or lightning conductor, and the clamp grip is not less than 90% of the rated tensile strength of the installed conductor or lightning conductor, but it does not serve as a conductor. This type of clamp can also be removed after the conductor is installed and used separately. This type of wire clamp includes bolt-type tension wire clamp and wedge-type tension wire clamp.
Second type: In addition to bearing the full tension of the conductor or lightning conductor, the tension wire clamp also acts as a conductor. Therefore, once this type of wire clamp is installed, it cannot be disassembled again, and is also called a dead wire clamp. Since it is a conductor, the installation of the wire clamp must comply with the relevant installation and operation regulations and be carried out carefully.
