In a typical 10 kV high-voltage distribution line, the drop out fuse 33kv device is generally installed on the high-voltage side of a branch line or distribution transformer. Its main function is to disconnect the electrical path when a short circuit or overload current enters the system, and at the same time provide a physical isolation point for downstream equipment. The broken fuse tube exhibits a clearly drooping state, not only marking the fault location but also creating an isolation space that can be used as part of subsequent maintenance work.

In the normal operating state of device drop out fuse cut out, the fuse maintains continuous current flow through internal metal components. When the current suddenly increases, the fuse breaks in a very short time due to thermal effects. At the moment of fuse breakage, the arc-extinguishing effect generated by the electric arc and gas expansion inside the tube further assists the breaking process, causing the contact point to change from a conductive state to an insulating state. This action ensures that the fault current in the circuit cannot continue to flow, thereby maintaining the normal operation of other areas of the distribution system.
