The Difference Between Epoxy Resin Insulator And Pin Insulator
Some enhancers are located upstream of the promoter, while others are located downstream, so the effect of high voltage standoff insulators does not depend on the relative position of high voltage epoxy to the promoter. Therefore, the reason for the directionality of the effect of epoxy resin insulator has not been really clarified. At present, two loci have been found to affect the function of insulator high voltage epoxy resin in a trans-activation manner. The nuclear protein encoded by the gene S2J (Hw) recognizes high voltage standoff, and the insulator has an insulating effect only after binding to it. When this gene mutates, although an insulator is inserted into the y locus, it loses its insulating effect and y is expressed in all tissues. Another locus is mod (mdg 4). After the gene mutates, its effect is exactly the opposite of Su (Hw), that is, these mutants all enhance the insulating effect, so that the insulating effect of the insulator is no longer directional and is extended, that is, the effect of the enhancers on both the upstream and downstream sides is blocked. One explanation is that Su (Hw) first binds to the insulator DNA, which makes the insulator have an insulating effect. When mod(mdg4) combines with Su(Hw), the insulator loses its insulating effect; the mutated mod(mdg4) cannot combine with Su(Hw), so the insulator enhances its insulating effect.
