For model bolted type strain clamp, a through slot is provided in its clamping body to accommodate cables or wires. On the fastening plate of model dead end strain clamp, a U-shaped compression ring is designed. This ring consists of two legs and a semi-circular ring connecting the legs. When the legs of the U-bolt pass through the through hole at the bottom of the slot and are tightened with a nut, the semi-circular ring presses against the pressure plate, securing the wire or cable within the slot.

After placing the wire between the pressure plate and the slot, tightening the U-bolt causes the semi-circular ring to press against the pressure plate, thus securing the wire. This structural design ensures the wire remains stable under tensile force because the semi-circular portion of the U-shaped compression ring evenly distributes the stress on the pressure plate. Compared to the traditional model bolted dead end clamp, which lacks a corresponding semi-circular boss, this avoids the risk of premature bolt fatigue or breakage due to localized stress concentration during the pressing process.
