Special Structure Of Epoxy Resin Insulator

The flashover voltage of dirty high voltage standoff insulators when damp is much lower than its dry and wet flashover voltage. Therefore, in dirty areas, insulation must be strengthened or pollution-resistant type high voltage epoxy must be used, and its epoxy resin insulator creepage distance (ratio of creepage distance to rated voltage) should be higher than that of normal type. Compared with AC high voltage epoxy resin, DC high voltage standoff has poorer electric field distribution, adsorbs dirt particles and has electrolysis effects, and has lower flashover voltage. It generally requires special structural design and larger creepage distance.
