The inherent deficiencies of measuring power splitter block components

The electronic platform scale is one of the most commonly used electronic scales, and we have experience in installation and commissioning. However, when installing and commissioning a Shanghai floor scale in a steel rolling plant, a phenomenon that had never happened before occurred. That is: after installation, when the test weights were used for calibration, it was found that the weight displayed on the display instrument did not change according to the weight of the applied weights, but fluctuated, and the number displayed on the instrument was also related to the placement of the weights, so it was impossible to calibrate normally.

The connection method of the weighing sensor of the scale is parallel connection. After careful inspection, the connection line of the sensor is correct (the sensor is connected according to the color code of the wiring diagram in the manual). There is no fault in the display instrument and the mechanical part. After careful analysis of the above phenomenon, we thought that the problem still appeared in the sensor. In order to further find the cause, we first calibrated the display instrument with a simulator and then connected it to the sensor, and then used a weight to press the four corners of the scale respectively. As a result, the display values ​​of three corners were positive, while the display value of the other corner was negative. Therefore, we concluded that the internal wiring of the sensor of the corner was wrong. After swapping the positive and negative leads of the bridge voltage or signal line of the sensor, the corner also showed a positive value. Because the positive and negative poles of the internal leads of the bridge voltage or signal were connected in reverse when the sensor was packaged before leaving the factory, the above fault occurred when the connection was made according to the normal color code during installation. After changing the connection and recalibrating, the above phenomenon was eliminated.

Another example is that the display instrument was disconnected and the bus was checked with a multimeter. It was found that the positive pole of the signal was connected to the ground wire. Therefore, when the sensor bus was connected to the display instrument system, the positive pole of the signal and the negative pole of the bridge voltage were short-circuited, which destroyed the normal working state of the sensor bridge circuit, resulting in the above phenomenon. Next, all sensors were disconnected and checked separately. The results were normal. There was no doubt that the problem occurred in sensor power splitter terminal block. When the multimeter was used to check sensor power terminal box alone, it was found that the ground terminal of terminal power block was short-circuited with the positive signal terminal of the sensor in terminal power distribution block. After careful search, it was found that there was a short circuit in the printed circuit on the printed circuit board in the junction box. The problem was caused by the product quality of the junction box. (After analysis, the junction box was not carefully inspected before leaving the factory, otherwise the above problem should not have occurred). After cutting the short circuit with a blade, the above fault was eliminated.
