Poor Waterproofing Of The Rotating Bearing Caused The High-voltage Disconnect Switch To Fail.

Poor waterproofing of the rotating bearing causes malfunction of hv isolator switch. During operation, high voltage electrical isolator relies on the rotating bearing to open and close the switch. If the bearing's waterproofing is insufficient, moisture can seep into the bearing, diluting or contaminating the lubricating oil, increasing friction and reducing the bearing's rotational flexibility. This prevents isolator high voltage from successfully completing the switching action, leading to system power outages or operational errors.
