Parallel Groove Clamp Installation Steps Guide: Ensure Wire Connection Is Secure

After placing two parallel conductors, when using a parallel groove clamp connector connection, first strip the insulation layer of the conductors to expose the stranded metal. Place the bare wire into the pg clamp connector busbar clamp slot, and insert the branch line into the branch line clamp slot.

Close the upper and lower insulating shells, aligning them with the bolt holes, and tighten the nuts with a wrench to gradually close the shells. At this point, the busbar and branch line are connected by clamping. If using a double pg clamps structure, two clamps can be hung on the busbar for simultaneous operation.

After installing the clamps, ensure that the connectors are aligned with the conductors, the bolts are tightened properly, and the spring washers or internal wire-holding components are engaged, providing good mechanical grip. For wedge-shaped or irregular single bolt parallel groove connector clamps, clean the oxide layer from the exposed conductors, and then assemble using the corresponding bullet core or protective sleeve.
