Operation Of Bolt Fastening Mechanism In Bolt-type Tension Clamp Structure

For overhead power transmission systems, the operating principle of bolted type strain clamp is based on the tightening process of bolts. After the bolts are screwed in, the two oppositely mounted clamps or bodies approach each other, and the conductor is placed into the set clamping groove. As the bolts at dead end strain clamp are further tightened, the gap between bolted dead end clamp gradually decreases, and the contact surfaces generate groove friction fit. The clamping force generated by this opposing movement stabilizes the conductor position on the tension rod or insulator string.
