In overhead line connectors testing, nondestructive testing can be applied to detect surface defects, cracks, fatigue damage, and other issues in overhead line hardware materials. Currently, commonly used nondestructive testing technologies include ultrasonic testing, eddy current testing, magnetic particle testing, and X-ray testing.
