Long-term Power Frequency Voltage Rise On Insulators
Publish Time: Author: Site Editor Visit: 6
In a system with an ungrounded neutral point, when one phase high voltage transmission line insulators is metallically grounded, the voltage of the other two phases overhead power line insulators increases by several times. This voltage increase will continue until the fault is eliminated. If there is an insulation weakness in the tension insulator string, a flashover may occur.
