Instructions For Applying Hl#8 Coating To Sf6 Circuit Breaker Seals And Components

In equipment sf6 circuit breaker operating mechanism, all components and seals that come into direct contact with SF6 gas should be coated with a thin layer of HL#8 PTFE grease. This improves sealing performance and reduces the possibility of gas leakage.

For the flange faces outside the seals, it is recommended to use neutral petroleum jelly or #2 antifreeze. Additionally, all flange joints and bolt connections should be sealed with sealant (such as 703 sealant) to enhance the overall sealing effect.
