How To Design The Structure Of Insulators In Areas With Severe Icing

In transmission areas with severe icing, a tension insulator combination of large disc diameter and large and small umbrella structures should be adopted to enhance the surface creepage distance and anti-pollution flashover performance of dead end insulators, and add a 300mm diameter super-large umbrella skirt on dead end suspension insulators to further expand the leakage path, improve the overall anti-icing ability and mechanical strength of polymer deadend insulator, and reduce the flashover risk caused by ice and snow accumulation and melting.
