High Voltage Isolating Switch Introduction
High Voltage Isolator Switch is an important switchgear in the electrical system of power plants and substations, and needs to be used in conjunction with high-voltage circuit breakers. Isolating switches are suitable for indoor installations with three-phase AC 50Hz and rated voltage 12KV. They are used to connect, disconnect or convert lines when the high-voltage equipment is under voltage and load. Its main functions are: to ensure the safety of high-voltage electrical appliances and devices during maintenance work, to isolate the voltage, and cannot be used to cut off, put in load current and break short-circuit current. It can only be used for certain switching operations that do not generate strong arcs, that is, it does not have an arc extinguishing function; it is divided into indoor and outdoor types according to the installation location, and single-column, double-column and three-column types according to the number of insulating pillars. There are optional equipment for each voltage level.
