Design Integrating Insulators And Arc-suppressing Accessories
The possibility of designing composite suspension insulator and arc-resistant related components into a unified structure can improve the consistency of the overall construction and the degree of field integration. The motivation for doing this stemmed from observations of the complexity of the interface between the existing independent polymer suspension insulator and the anti-arc device, as well as inspiration from piercing combination schemes, which attempt to combine support and anti-arc functions in a single component.
Component suspension type insulator typically consists of the main insulator and fittings, providing mechanical support and electrical isolation for current-carrying conductors in high-voltage lines. Its overall form and material selection directly impact the overall line operating characteristics.
In accordance with the requirements of arc protection technology, the design work focused on how to integrate the necessary arc protection functions into the composite tension insulator body without increasing the complexity of assembly.
