Design Concept Of Wedge-shaped Tension Clamps In Tension Management Of Overhead Lines

The core components of clamp dead end include a conical cavity and a corresponding set of wedges. During installation, after the wire enters the dead and clamp cavity, tension guides the wedges to gradually embed themselves along the inclined surface, thus gripping the wire. Since the force transmission originates from the surface contact geometry between the wedges and the cavity, the entire gripping process is primarily determined by the designed geometric engagement and material fit, rather than simply relying on the quality of external crimping.
