Correct Method For Tightening Nuts When Fixing Wire Clamps
During the installation of pg clamps, it is recommended to tighten the nuts diagonally and evenly to achieve a secure connection. Tighten each nut symmetrically back and forth until the metal surfaces of the bolt seat and nut seat are completely flush.
Afterward, pause operation and visually inspect the connection to confirm that the conductor is fully positioned within the clamp slot and that there are no signs of misalignment or loosening after symmetrical tightening. For single bolt parallel groove connector, which has multiple bolts, avoid tightening all bolts at once; instead, tighten each bolt sequentially and cyclically.
Finally, after assembly, inspect the connection to confirm that all nuts are in the correct position and meet assembly requirements. It is not recommended to use high-speed impact tools for final tightening to prevent uneven torque that could cause indentations or conductor damage.
