Cable Lugs is mainly suitable for the connection of overhead insulated wires, branch connection, low-voltage cable entry, T-connection building distribution system cable support, underground low-voltage insulated cable connection street light system and grounding protection. The applicable voltage level is 10KV and below. Its main performance characteristics are:
1. Easy to install. Using the principle of puncture, the contact blade penetrates the insulation layer of the wire and then pierces the conductor. There is no need to strip the insulation layer of the wire during installation. As long as the main line and branch line are placed in the wire clamp at the specified position, the cable can be branched at any position without destroying the mechanical and electrical properties of the cable. The torque nut can be evenly twisted off with a socket wrench.
2. Small contact resistance and low temperature rise of the wire clamp. The joint generates very little heat, and the heat generated by the puncture wire clamp is less than that of the wire with the same diameter. Any traditional cable branching method is difficult to achieve the above standards. The special torque bolt ensures constant puncture pressure, so that the wire clamp and the wire achieve good electrical contact without excessively damaging the wire, which simplifies the installation difficulty and ensures the normal service life of the overhead insulated wire.
3. The structure is sealed and has high insulation. The inside of the wire clamp is filled with insulating thermal grease. After installation, the entire conductor forms a fully enclosed and insulated structure, which improves the insulation strength and safety of the puncture wire clamp, ensures that the puncture wire clamp can operate reliably for a long time in harsh natural environments, and is waterproof, corrosion-resistant, and UV-resistant.
4. The puncture wire clamp structure uses the principle of matching, and a plastic sheath is designed at the screw hole of the plastic shell to increase the creepage distance between the screw and the conductor, so that the safety insulation of the wire clamp is further improved.
5. The wire clamp has a wide range of applications. It can be used for branch connection of copper and aluminum conductors, branch connection of different-diameter conductors, and connection of equal-diameter conductors, and is suitable for transition connection of copper and aluminum insulated conductors.
