Suspension type dead end suspension insulators can be divided into disc type polymer deadend insulator and rod type porcelain dead end insulators. Disc type suspension insulator (post type suspension composite insulator is now commonly used) is the most widely used type in transmission lines. Rod type composite suspension insulator is widely used in Germany and other countries.
