Bolt-type Tension Clamp Bolt Fastening Mechanism And Friction Effect

The core working principle of bolted type strain clamp lies in its multi-layered force action mechanism. As the U-bolt is gradually tightened, the pressure plate presses down, and the wire is pressed into the wavy groove of dead end strain clamp. This process is not a simple direct fixation, but rather anchoring of the conductor through friction between the contact surfaces. The mismatch between the microscopic surfaces of the pressure block and the cable groove creates multiple contact points, which collectively bear the tensile force of the conductor. According to the national standard GB/T 2314-2008, the grip strength of the bolted dead end clamp conductor should not be less than 105% of the calculated breaking strength of the conductor, so as to meet the safety factor requirements.
