Process principle
insulation piercing is mainly composed of shell, puncture blade, waterproof rubber ring and torque bolt.
When making cable branch connection, insert the branch cable into the branch cap and determine the main line branch position, tighten the torque nut on the wire clamp with a wrench. As the torque nut is tightened, the upper and lower insulators of the wire clamp with puncture blades are gradually closed. At the same time, the arc-shaped sealing rubber ring wrapped around the puncture blade gradually adheres to the cable insulation layer, and the puncture blade also begins to puncture the cable insulation layer and metal conductor. When the sealing degree of the sealing rubber ring and the contact between the puncture blade and the metal body reach the best effect, the torque nut automatically falls off, and at this time, the main line and branch line are connected.
5. Construction process and operation points
5.1 Construction conditions:
5.1.1 The design drawings and other technical documents approved by the prescribed procedures are complete.
5.1.2 The approved construction plan (or construction organization design) and wiring diagram have been technically disclosed.
5.1.3 The cables and insulation piercing clamp used in the project can be constructed normally and meet the quality requirements.
5.1.4 The construction personnel have received technical training on cable piercing.
5.1.5 In cooperation with the construction, the reserved holes or casings for the cables to pass through the walls and floors have been prepared; before construction, the electrical shaft should be inspected and the conditions for laying cables should be met.
5.1.6 The installation of the cable clamp support points has been completed in accordance with the specifications and drawing requirements.
5.2 Process flow:
Strip off the sheath of the main cable and branch cable → ipc cable connector connection position and branch line length →
Insert the branch line into the branch line cap → The main line is clamped into ipc insulation piercing connector, and the wrench is tightened to the torque nut until it falls off
Cable insulation resistance test → Fix the branch cable → Trial operation acceptance
