Analysis Of Bolt-type Tension Clamp Installation At Segment Locations
In transmission line segmentation, clamp bolted type strain clamp plays a crucial role in stably securing the conductor to tension poles or insulator strings. Its structural design revolves around the fit between the clamp and the conductor. Common construction sites require the installation of tension hardware at line bends, terminals, or branch points. Bolts are used to tightly close the upper and lower clamps, creating a frictional contact surface between the clamp and the conductor, ensuring stable conductor load-bearing at this point.
In the specific deployment process, the first step is to measure the size and position of the conductor at the segment points. Then, the groove of the dead end strain clamp body is aligned with the conductor cross-section. The fit between the groove and the conductor is extremely critical. Many designs incorporate a guide groove at the top of the groove to maintain alignment with the contact surface of clamp bolted dead end clamp during insertion. This positioning measure improves contact uniformity and helps reduce the risk of localized displacement due to uneven stress.
