Analysis And Prevention Of Fracture Of Universal Joint Connecting Bolts Of High Voltage Disconnector

A common problem during isolator high voltage maintenance is shearing of the screws connecting the universal joint flange to the mechanism flange. This condition is often related to long-term vibration, uneven torque, or concentrated installation stress. Because the high voltage isolator is subject to a combination of mechanical and electrical forces during operation, if the flange connection is not tightened as designed or the material strength is mismatched, the screws can easily fatigue and break.
